Anyone Try Speakers from Ole Wolff Electronics, Inc?

I'm looking at OWS-091630LA-8B at Digikey for my N scale LokSound installs and I like some of the numbers I see. Power rated at 1W with a 1.2W max. The highest I've seen with this size speaker until now was a power rating of 800mW with a 1W max. Also says it has 95.00 efficiency/dBA. Seems pretty robust to me! Thoughts or experiences?

@tehachapifan thanks for the heads up on these. I have ordered a bunch to test.

The frequency response curve looks better than CUI and Soberton.

They also do an 8x16mm speaker which should be perfect for larger locos with narrow hoods (and more powerful than the Soberton 8x12mm)

I missed that they had 8x16's too. Those could be handy!

Still waiting on my FedEx shipment of the 9x16's.

Last scan says it's still in MN after being picked up in ND on 1/4 and I'm in CA!

The original expected arrival date was 1/9 but now it says "shipment exception weather delay" and then "shipment arriving early" below that.

In our application I don't expect these to sound dramatically better than any of the other similar cell phone speakers, but I wouldn't mind being pleasantly surprised. Plus it is always good to have a variety of speakers available.

Hmm, I will have to try some.
I have been trying the ESU speaker that comes with multiple enclosures. I have noticed a louder volume. The speaker comes with an adhesive that adheres to the enclosure. Mind you,, I have always installed my speakers baffle out. The ESU speaker and enclosure mounts baffle inside towards the enclosure.
I used two of the Atlas legacy boards with the recent updates install. But I will definitely try these ole Wolff’s

I don't generally use 9x16 speakers any more, since I finished converting my diesel fleet three years ago and now mostly do steam installations and installs in HO diesels for friends.  The 9x16 is a good size for larger hood diesels in N, but in N steam, an 11x15 or 13x18 is a better choice.

In any event, like Peteski, I doubt the choice of speaker makes much of a difference in our applications.  And this particular speaker, like nearly all others this size, has frequency response that drops off a cliff at 900hz; down 5db at 700hz and 15db (!) at 500hz relative to full output.  See the data sheet here:

You can't do much about that.  Low frequency reproduction simply requires bigger speakers.  But I think there are some 9x16's out there from CUI that do a bit better in FR down to 500hz.

When one of you gets some, can you measure the outside dimensions overall depth and shoulder depth with electronic calipers?
