I like the marker/class lights on all four corners!  I wonder how many actually had them?

To my surprise, a bit of internet research revealed that the Whitcomb 65T Switchers were extensively used by the chemical, gravel, mineral, and steel industries.

Gulf, The US Navy, and several grain/feed and lumber companies also employed these 65T Switchers in their operations.

Flanges.

I would have worried about this too, but the Piko America page on this engine, here:
https://www.piko-america.com/products/40802-usatc-whitcomb-65t-n-scale
says the flanges will be .56mm (.022") deep to run on US N scale track down to code 40.
They also say the US versions will have "Microtrains compatible" knuckle couplers.

Cool. Thanks, Max. I have a couple of scenes on the layout where this size Whitcomb would be more appropriate than the GE 44-tonners I already have. I'll have to think hard about it!
