Some Con-Cor passenger sets and locomotives.

Lots 4001 - 4092 are N Scale.  There are Lionel, O and HO after that.  495 lots total.

Only issue I have is they make the lot sizes so big, you get priced out pretty quick unless you've been saving up for such events.  I did get lucky once on a 20+ LBF 50/60' boxcars, averaged out $14/car

Yeah.... 65 boxcars?? https://connect.invaluable.com/stout/auction-lot/sixty-five-micro-trains-modern-n-scale-50-ribbed-_A4C498CAB9

I also noticed most have had a number of bids and the prices are up there.  I just got the notice this morning. I wonder if other had it earlier. I didn't see anything I wanted but others might.

I had 2 emails today with same auction info.  1 early, 1 later in day.  I'm sure there are people that check page as they roll out of bed

Thought about it, especially now that I'm registered properly, but seems all the N stuff is already quite up there. Really tempting though, last go around I was able to get 2 car cases of MT and MDC Boxcars that priced out like $6 a car.

Has anyone purchased something from these folks and had it shipped?  I don't really want to have a 10-12 hour round trip to pick stuff up from them if I have a high bid.  But on the other hand, their description of handling and shipping costs is very opaque.  So, if anyone did buy a box of cars and had it shipped, what did you pay in various fees over and above your auction winning bid?

15% buyers premium added to final cost and UPS shipping.

So the “buyers premium” aka the fee to buy from them starts at 15%. When I bought from them it was closer to 30% between two items at $200+ each. Once the listings end, they bill you for the cost of the items plus the buyers premium which can vary on each item. Once you pay the first invoice they package your items and send you an invoice for the shipping.

I should add that I thought their shipping cost was very reasonable and they did a really good job packaging the trains.

Interesting that the estate is from a fellow who ran Lionel:

https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/2019/06/13/richard-p-kughn-lionel-toy-train-co/1427686001/
"Kughn, 89, of Dearborn died Saturday."
"The Detroit businessman also loved trains. He ran toy train manufacturer Lionel for about a decade, breathing life into the company and helping introduce a new generation of kids to the hobby he fell in love with as a boy."

I made a bid on the Lot# 4080 (ConCor N, Lehigh Valley passenger set), but the email notification told me I lost it although my maximum amount was $255.   Please note the winner’s amount was $190!  :?
So I asked the notification mail the reason of my loosing, but no response has been made so far.

Does anyone help/support this situation?

Thank you.

FYI:
At first I bid as $140 or so, and made the max amount of $180.  Soon after that I raised the max as $255, but the bid system did not accept the $255 during a few times of my re-bidding.  Finally the system seemed to accept my $255.
