Ron’s powered HiRail is over the top! I’d love to see it some day. The same goes for John’s Polar Express.

The American crane has been popular at the last few shows we’ve done.

I always try to run something prototypically accurate for the area as a special train.

So if I'm at the Temple TX show, I've got a prototypically correct consist for the Amtrak Texas Chief/Lone Star circra 1972-73, down to the ex CZ obs on one consist and the ATSF passenger yellow bonnnet F7A on the other. I've had folks comment they remembered seeing or riding the train back then.

Back when I was in N scale, my selection would have been my Tropicana Juice Train.  I still miss that train, which I have yet to replace in HO scale, due to availability. 😕

That said, today I would go with my bicentennial train:
