TCS IMF4

Hi there,

I have a TCS IMF4 decoder and an Intermountain F3. When I opened the F3, I found out that, it is the newer version with wires form the motor to the board.
So I would need an IMF4-NF. Looking at the pictures on the TCS website, I have a feeling that the IMF4-NF decoder ist just an IMF4 without these 'motor shoes'.

The question is, can I un-solder the shoes and that's it?
Can someone enlighten me?

Thanks, Thomas  :)

Well I never did like those shoes! So in the past even the ones that was to use them, I removed the shoes and used short jumper wire from the motor tabs to the decoder. Just unsolder the shoes and replace with wires.

Yes, I was able to remove the shoes from the FT decoder variant, as that one has not been released without shoes and the FT also has wired only connections in the latest run.
