Where to get "wall wart" for.....

LED tape lights? I bought an 8' roll at HD, the shortest they had. I only used about 14" of it.
So now I want another 12vdc 0.5a power supply, so I can use rest of roll. I went to All Electronics
but search came up empty. Any ideas?
 Thanks, and stay safe.

Digikey or Mouser Electronics will have what you need, but at new (not surplus) prices.  For surplus try https://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/ . They might have something suitable.  Often discarded "power bricks" for CATV boxes were 12V DC supplies.  Maybe you have one of those hanging around?

Here's one from Allelectronics for $5.

https://www.allelectronics.com/item/ps-1295/12-vdc-2.5-amp-power-supply-used/1.html

It's 2.5A so more than enough for what you need and future "expansion".  :D

Oh, didn't know I could use one with more amps.
I believe I have saved a few over the years.
 Thanks,

While voltage has to be the exact value you need, a power supply will only supply as much current as what the attached devices need.

Just like electricity in your house:  you have 200A service, but all the devices inside your house which are turned on do not constantly (or ever) use 200 Amps!

Power supply's rating indicates the maximum current it can supply.

 Enjoy the snow! ;)

Oddly enough, my best go-to source for wall warts is my local Good Will.  They always have a big basket of those things in the store, every current and voltage spec in the rainbow, and they are really cheap.  If there's a Good Will near you and you don't find one lying around at home, maybe give them a shot (if they are open near you, what with the virus these days)

It’s a railroad forum, so frog is more appropriate. 😉
