October 2020 Micro-Trains Weathered releases

October's MT weathered releases were announced last last week.  A GN 2-pack weathered and a NS 89' AutoRack with Halloween related graffiti.  The autorack is a must for my Halloween birthday train, but I'm having a problem trying to justify these autoracks sitting in CSX Hagerstown yard.

Hahaha. So I clicked on this thread without looking at the poster and thought "I wonder how @mu26aeh is gonna work these into the Hanover Sub".

I'm still looking forward to the answer though!

The only plausible solution is to have an NS train holding at CP town to proceed northbound.  Funny, I just thought of that after reading your post :D .  Thanks !

Edit:  And now that I'm thinking of that, I need to figure out something to represent the Hagerstown station/PD

Why wouldn't there be an NS autorack in a CSX yard?  Or don't autoracks, of any kind, usually go through Hagerstown Yard?

Second part 😁  No autorack traffic on CSX thru Hagerstown.   Though it does flow on NS

Easy to justify. Blame Precision Scheduled Railroading. They were misrouted in a yard somewhere, but since they were empties they were allowed to go on the wrong train. No time to switch them out.
Very prototypical, too.

Makes sense - Thank you!

Ah, just wait a year and bid on the NS cars on Live N Auctions on FB so you can pay 3x sticker price. :)

LOL, I see what you did there.  Amazing what some people will pay for stuff, right ?  I've been lucky on my handful of items I've won.    I mainly just sit back and watch the madness, and wonder how I can get the job that those people have, because they obviously have more money then I do.

So much this. Not long ago (but pre-2018), a misrouted autorack showed up in Harrington, DE, on the daily Delmarva Central RR interchange freight with NS. I asked the crew if it was routed to Norfolk via the Bay Coast and got blank stares.... They didn't know that Ford used to have a plant in Norfolk with racks commonly being floated across the Chesapeake Bay.
