Thanks John.  The reviews on that unit are much better than the one I Googled into.

Do you use a speed controller on yours, or run it full tilt when airbrushing?

I have a double gang box with an over under switch on one side, upper controls the light above the area, lower controls the upper plug of a standard wall socket which the fan plugs into so no dimmer control on the fan. The lower plug is always hot.

I will take a quick video so you can hear it.

John, didn't you post some construction details for either your paint booth or your sandblasting booth somewhere?  I searched Railwire but couldn't find anything.  Was I thinking of someone else?

Bought a Paasche airbrush booth over the weekend to paint up some locomotives without having to sit out in the backyard to do so. Nice and portable  and even held up to full strength rattle cans without issue.

Airbrush crapped out immediately and I had to hand paint my Geep but it was great for when I had to apply dullcote.

@reinhardtjh

John, I think I shared the paint booth in a weekend update, but the sand blasting cabinet was shared on Facebook.

I’ll put a google album together of both later.

Ah, yes.  That sounds familiar.  I can never find older things on Facebook anyway.

I’ll put a google album together of both later.

That would be great. Thank you.

This is a booth I purchased a few years back sitting on my new work area.
Plenty to see on E Bay at the time of purchase.
Lots of light with the LEDs and plenty of space in which to work.
It also came with vent pipes.

From what I recall it was not too expensive.
I have used it for 1:35 scale and now HOn3 so the size suits me.

Here is the fan running.  My son was sitting in the room above, almost directly above the fan.

For the price of the Micro Mark offerings, I would be looking at Pace booths. The fold-up plastic eBay/Amazon/Paasche etc. booths...not so much.

In my opinion the big advantage to the Pace booths is their use of standard furnace filters. Needing to buy any kind of proprietary filter is a huge turn-off and obvious profit center for the retailer.

I'm really liking their booths. Would love to hear from someone here in the group that has one of these.
I'm planning on painting some large items and their 36 inch deluxe has my eye.
