3D printed Pennsy S2 Steam Turbine build under construction

3D printed Pennsy S2 Steam Turbine.
Same 3D printed front and rear trucks as the S1.

Engine chassis Speactum Class J, tender chassis Bachmann long haul shortened with center cut out of weight, one truck wheel sets pickup reversed, rewired Class J tender electronics.
Built and running, still need to add all brass detail, paint and decal.

A friend of mine does 3D cad design for a living, also is into N Gauge.
We got together to design and build a lot of the streamlined steamers as well as the one of a kind.
All his 3D engine shells hes setting up an Ebay store to sell them as well.
Also has some rare UP diesel 3D prints I have yet to build, but do have the chassis to be used for them.

Whoa!  That is beautiful.  The S2 is such an unusual engine, and the Bachmann J's drivers look like they fill the bill nicely.
In a completely different scale and world, .... Of all the old Lionel engines, the S2 was always my favorite.

I'll be making one shortly. What are you doing for sound for the turbine since there was no chuffing ?   Not sure if a Soundtraxx turbine turned down would work or just be too whinny high pitch.
