I don't have a lot of old Model Railroader magazines anymore, but Con-Cor used the 1234N catalog numbering scheme in the 7/71 issue, so it goes back at least that far. I also have one from 11/70, but their ad in that issue doesn't have any catalog numbers at all. If I had to guess, I'd say the old "numbers only" scheme was probably used up until 1969 or maybe 1970.
After I posted my question, I checked Ebay and found the 67-68 Con-Cor Catalog WITH the order guide. Not enough example pages were scanned to get the info I needed, but enough detail was shown that it 'should' have my answer.
With Mark's comments that his 71 catalog had the new numbers and 1970 catalog without numbers.. Plus looking at the DKS scans, also without numbers.. leads me to agree with Mark's dates.
Our local LHS has been giving me their old N catalogs as they clean out old storage cabinets.. they didn't start until the early 1970s..... I did get a 68 and 69 Atlas Catalog from the previous store they took over.... But I assume my chances of finding a free pre-1970 Con-Cor Catalog and price guide is slim to none..
Sooo.. I ordered the 67-68 Catalog and price guide, which should give me the info I need..
My library is discombooberated due a new shelving project in slow progress.
I’ll look in my files to see if the Trainalogs have the sort of info you’re looking for or maybe one of my handwritten logs will have it. Will take a few days o/c of the approaching holiday and some other commitments...

Thank you for the offer sir!.. I'm in no hurry... Let me get this catalog I just ordered.. if I'm missing anything else, I'll list it and hopefully the TRW Hive mind can figure it out.
