Supertree leaf question

Don't use the leaves, they are HO sized, unless you're making watermelon trees.

My dad has used those to good effect on a bunch of his trees and I think they look pretty good.

Yes, I have ordered some Super Leaves, and will see what they look like - should arrive Friday.  What have you used Ed?  I know you have done a lot of winter modeling when there are few leaves.

Well, I do use super leaves. But they're all on the ground.

I have some summer ones though for some projects and they seem ok. Haven't gotten too critical with them.

The few summer trees I have all use them though.

I bought some SuperLeaves for my layout (N scale) but gave them to my dad for his HO layout when I saw how large they were. They would be decent ground cover. I use a blend of WS fine ground foam for my leaves now.

I use a combination of Superleaves and ground foam. Just takes a minute and a coffee grinder to make the super leaves suitable for N scale!

Most of the trees here are the ground up Superleaves, with a couple being course turf, or a combination.

beautiful work Caleb...I will have to try that (really simple) step next time.

Although, lightly sprinkled over ground foam, I don't find the over-sized leaves particularly noticeable.









...but then again I also use (shudders) Peco code 55 and WS ballast so may be they make the leaves look proper sized
