Yes I realize the short 46 to 52 Era that these cars wore that scheme, in fact I mentioned it in a previous post. (a number were also repainted into TTG in 1956 fwiw)

I posted a number of sources with quite a bit of data, it's not perfect but it's what we have avaliable to us. So I will leave it there for people to either draw there own conclusions or provide their own data.

Show me the timetables, consists, photos and conductors books that point to a different conclusion.

I would just add that a Pullman type assigned to a specific “line” would take a number of days from the Midwest to go west and back. A six day cycle would require at least six identical cars to provide just one car in each daily consist.

I didn't mention the travel times or number of trainsets it would take to maintain daily service because I wasn't sure on the numbers, but a very good point...

I know farm equipment isn't as sexy as military hardware, but I really wish MTL would have spent a similar amount of effort to those tractors on the UP cars. They look to be of early to mid-70s vintage and some of us might be interested in them as loads and stand alone models. As they are right now, windowless bricks, not so much.

The two-wheel drive tractors appear to be "inspired" by the International Harvester 66 Series tractors from the early to mid-1970s.  The cab appears to be a Hiniker after market cab rather than an IH factory cab.

The four-wheel drive tractor appears to be "inspired" by the White 4-150 Field Boss from the mid-1970s.

The combine has me truly perplexed.  It is missing the grain tank, and there appears to be no way to get from the ground to the cab, unless that is supposed to be a fold-up ladder just ahead of the unloading auger. 

N scale (and my layout) is in need of more farm equipment (tractors, combines and implements), but I decided to pass on these.  Decent looking cast resin N scale farm tractors are possible, as evidenced by the Artitec Fordson Dexta shown below.
