A package with a TomyTec O1 Basic Set arrived in the mail this week. While the models are indeed small, they are large enough to be "large compact or small mid-size" 1:160 scale vehicles.
The first photo has a Busch Mercedes ML Class SUV, a TomyTec Suzuki Jimny, and an Atlas Ford Explorer.
The next photo has a Busch Mercedes ML Class SUV, a TomyTec Suzuki Hustler, and an Atlas Ford Explorer.
The third photo has a Busch Mercedes ML Class SUV, a TomyTec Suzuki Alto, and an Atlas Ford Explorer.
The last photo has a Busch Mercedes ML Class SUV, a TomyTec Honda N-Box, and an Atlas Ford Explorer.
I am still not sure if any of the new TomyTec models will pass as stand-ins for vehicles that could be seen on the streets of North America.
However, some have asked for "generic" vehicles, and these might qualify as "generic for North America".
All four models are licensed by the prototype vehicle manufacturer. And in the typical TomyTec tradition; the injection molding is good, the painting a
nd pad printed details are sharp, and the models look very nice!
