Small window castings?

 Hi, Does anyone know of very small, basic window detail parts? I'm looking for something smaller than 24" x 24" scale inches, made by Tichy. And I wonder about those dimensions. Are they the actual window opening? I don't have a scale ruler. Want them for a woodsided caboose project.

If you have a digital caliper ($20 at any Harbor Freight store), then you can measure any N scale item and multiply that by 160 to get 1:1 size. And if you don't have a digital caliper yet, get one - it will make your modeling much easier! Especially since you are going beyond just assembling plastic kits.  Take the plunge -- you won't regret it.    I had a friend who resisted getting a caliper until I actually bought one for him. Now he uses it often.

And for multiplying N scale dimensions to 1:1 (or vice-versa), I have several cheap keychain-size calculators from Staples hanging around my workbench.

Yeah I had the link to the Tichy page that tells you what size opening they take, but when I came back here I read you didn't have a ruler.

I DO have a digital caliper. Chris urged me to buy one years ago. I have two, one for hobby use, and one for the garage/auto use.
 I trimmed a Tichy window part, the work car windows, https://www.tichytraingroup.com/Shop/tabid/91/c/n_framed-windows/p/2518/Default.aspx  Cut the mullions out, intend to use the upside down, so they have a drip guard. Oh OK. So the hole needs to be .185x.185" If you inserted them from inside they wouldn't have the wood trim around them and would look smaller.

BTW I order direct from Tichy all the time and the shipping is fast.

Do you want to make some?  It could be done.

I'll keep you in mind Mark. I did find Tichy 12" x 18" framed windows, and ordered them. I'll see how they work.
  Any chance you have an Alps printer, to make decals??
