There's a shyness found in reason
Apprehensive influence swallow away
You seem to feel abysmal take it
Then you're careful grace for sure
Kinda like the way you're breathing
Kinda like the way you keep looking away

Were these ever converted to ballast hoppers later?

Doubtful.  Most of these are still in service hauling coal.  Never say never but....I guess there might be a small chance of them moving to aggregate service although I've not seen this.   I would be shocked if they were in non-revenue service.

So these are set to innundate the coal hopper market?

How many pages of comments will we peak at, and will that be an accurate gauge of interest in these models?

The will no doubt cause a raging surge in purchases at hobby shops, as they look like they are high enough quality to disappear in a flash.

I'll stop now before we drown in a river of bad puns.

Surely doubtful being aluminum?
If they were, they'd need individual gate opening, spreaders maybe, and carry a much lower load- stones vs coal weight...

I've already purchased the "On Track For a Cure" hopper, since my wife is a three year breast cancer survivor. This will be the third car in my collection of N scale breast cancer awareness rolling stock.  ;)

Chuck, Congratulations to your wife as well on being a one year cancer survivor. Cancer is a horrible disease and as you know the treatment is just as bad as the disease. I am not ashamed to admit my wife is my hero, what she went through to beat this disease, she is a real trooper. We are also praying to have many more years together, hoping and praying this was a one and done life event.

The car arrived last week and looks great, my wife loves it.
