Question regarding ESU OEM sound files

I have an Atlas analog SD35 coming this week and I have been told that the analog unit has a speaker installed and that all I need to do is get a decoder and install and all is cool. After reading DFF's thread about problems with his OEM IM HO diesel I am really confused now.

I have an ESU 73199 coming, from Bryan, and will want to install and load a sound file into it. Yes, I have the LP to accomplish this. My question is; do I have to use an Atlas OEM file or will any of ESU's files work OK?  For sure I want all the FT experience.

Ditto.

The 73199 is just a board version of the Loksound Select Micro.  Any Select file will work.

Thanks guys. The OEM talk had me confused, but then again that is my normal state according to my wife of 56 years.
