Anycubic Photon Review

I built my first FDM 3D printer (melted plastic forced out a nozzle, building layers as it prints) over 6 years ago, so I've been around the 3D printing world since then. I've wanted a SLA printer since Formlabs, Form 1 was started on Kickstarter, but the price was beyond my reach. I've looked into building one a SLA printer a few years ago, but it was still going to cost over $500 for the parts. When @Mark W bought his Anycubic Photon SLA 3D printer and showed some of the prints this machine was capable of printing, I bought one.

For me, it was very easy to get up and printing. I followed the instruction manual that was included, to get it all set up and ready for printing. My first print was a oil tank for a n scale Kato mike tender that replaces the stock coal load that I had drawn up and it printed successfully with no problems the first try. The slicing software with supports has worked well so far for me. It is easy to understand and easy to navigate. It is somewhat a little messy working with the resin and IPA to wash everything after printing, but that is easy to live with for what I'm getting with the finished product.
I would highly recommend the Anycubic Photon 3D printer to anybody thinking about getting a 3D printer.
