Delay time with ESU Micro Select

Any one figure a way to adjust the time delay on a 53800 ESU Micro Select.
I have a Kato E8 that I have downloaded the sound file #73883 into it. When I throttle up it takes almost 20 seconds before the loco will move.
This is much longer than most. Sound file bad?

The delay sound be about 3 seconds.

Jerry, have you tried loading a different sound file?  That would at least isolate the issue as the project rather than the decoder.

It may very well be an error in the prime mover sound slot, which, of course, we cannot modify in a Select file.

Hmmm....I downloaded this file into my computer to take a look at it and see if I could spot something set different from my other files. Didn't notice anything. That said, I could've sworn there was a way to adjust the sound startup delay in these too, but I guess that's only available in (some of?) the non-sound decoders? If this is indeed the case, it's interesting that you can adjust the startup delay (by quite a bit) in a non-sound decoder but not in an actual sound decoder. Also, I could only find mention of how to disable the startup delay in the manual but not how to adjust the startup time. For clarification, are you leaving the throttle at a certain speed setting or are you increasing it when the loco finally starts moving?

Rick, on past downloads into the 73800 decoders the time delay is about 3 seconds.
I have not down loaded a different file into this perduclar decoder yet, looks like I will have to try that.
Russ, I think that you can change the delay in the 4.0 series decoders, but NOT the Select.

There are two different types of delays. One is the startup delay CV which, in a LokSound, basically says "use the sound slot delay, or don't delay".  The other delay is actually built into the sound slot schedule for the prime mover;  this is the delay which ensures the sound is appropriate for the loco to actually start moving. The ESU team tries to set these about the same for each project (they use to vary widely) at about 4 seconds; but it is possible that a project has gotten messed up.   

If using v4 vs Select, then one can open the sound slot itself, and adjust the delay.

You've probably already considered these, but the only other things (WAG's) that come to my mind with this are CV2 (V-start) and CV3 (acceleration) settings, what is the current speed step setting (14,28 or 128) and have and BEMF settings been adjusted (i.e. using the automatic adjustment).

For clarification, are you leaving the throttle at a certain speed setting or are you increasing it when the loco finally starts moving? The answer may rule-out some or all of the above.
