Anyone know why I'm seeing CP coal trains on CN's BC North Mainline to Prince Rupert (Ridley Island)?

Got and answer from CN.  CN is taking three CP coal trains per week to Prince Rupert  from the mines in southeast BC.  Shipments will total 8.5 million tons.  No reason given.

Maybe Prince Rupert only port a carbon can use in the PNW. Mines on CP would have to ship to CN-served Prince Rupert then. Green earth agenda has crude and coal facing difficult challenges to load ships in Vancouver, Seattle, Tacoma and Portland.

Vancouver is the largest coal port in North America, larger than Norfolk.
