I finally had a chance to open these units and run them.  They were smooth out of the box and the sound is great.  The CN units look fantastic, they really make the rest of my locomotives look a bit naked.

The white handrails look appreciably thinner in your photos than the close-ups ST posted on theri site. Close-ups in N cab be very unforgiving. Yours really underscore how nicely detailed these are.

Mine are also prototype photos. They usually do a good job of getting the details right on those.

GE got those handrails alright, but boy did they botch up the UP Yellow paint color!!! 

And egads, the "weathering"  looks like they just dumped 100 pounds of soot over the loco!

Ha ha! Take that as a compliment to your modeling ability. I thought it was great scenery and weathering work and it was!
