Introducing Out of The Box Models

Hi everyone, My name is Dan and I'm the CEO of Out of The Box models.

Some of you may have seen my posts on some other forums, or maybe stumbled across our Websitewww.outoftheboxmodels.com

We are a new startup offering something a bit different than everyone else. Instead of just selling models, like everyone else, all of our models we sell are commissioned by our customers, and are limited to just 100 kits. We like to think of ourselves as a services company, offer the modeler the chance to pick and choose what ever prototype they want a model of.

Those who choose to commission a model will be rewarded with a 10% share of the sales of their model, which, in most cases should cover their initial investment.

The majority of our kits are unassembled/undecorated resin castings, but we offer a variety of other services for those who are interested, including an on demand Ready-to-Run finishing service, custom decals, custom photo-etch, Injection Molding and more.

We are working hard to get our first few projects finished and up for sale soon, but here is a list of the projects currently in progress:

N Scale:
CBQ NE-12 Caboose
BN Modified CBQ NE-12 Caboose, 2 versions
MRL Modified CBQ NE-12 Caboose
SP/VT/Yosemite Valley 40' Heavyweight RPO Baggage Car, 4 versions
EMC E2A and E2B shells for Kato E8, 3 UP Versions, CNW Version, and SP Version
M88A Tank Retreiver
Logging Camp Cabins
NASA NLAX 170-171 Solid Rocket Booster Part Spine Cars

HO Scale:
SP/VT/Yosemite Valley 40' Heavyweight RPO Baggage Car
Logging Camp Cabins

Where are the products sold when they're sold? I would buy a NE12 or two, but am not even sure if that's a past or future product or where I can or could have purchased it.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Great Questions! They're all future products at this point because nothing has been released yet. I will post here as soon as something is ready. Most likely they will only be available through my web store. Every kit will be individually numbered, and limited to 100 units.
