PacNW a$$hat question
« on: October 08, 2016, 12:05:59 AM »

The movers arrive on Monday to scoop up our stuff and, if everything goes as planned, me, the wife, the daughter, and the 2 cats pile into the car and start westward for Beaverton.  Haven't bought a house yet, even, but I'm already thinking months, years ahead.

I'm curious if any of the PacNW asshats would be interested in and know of others interested in developing a Modutrak-style layout featuring the Seattle (or points north) to Portland shared line.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Y'all come out and set a spell!
Good wishes on your trip and I hope you and your family enjoy the Great Pacific Northwest.
We have two very active N-Scale communities here, greater Portland/Willamette Valley area and greater Seattle/ Puget Sound area. Oh and our friends a little farther north in BC!
There are several good annual shows that would help promote another layout.
Show season is starting so, you'll be arriving at a good time.
There was a Free-MoN group starting , but I haven't heard much about them lately. I know a few members were taken over by the On30 bug and went that way.
You could probably find enough people to get a layout going .
I'm sure if you build it they will come!
I'm so chin deep in Mt Rainier N-Scale, I can't see me ever being able to escape!

BTW, make sure you allow for a daylight ride through the Columbia River Gorge into Portland, if you are taking I-84, not to be missed!

Greg O.

PM me if I can help you with anything.

I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that.

Everything X600 said is +1 for me.
Other than I'm only about hip deep into Mt Rainier N scalers, But I've been trying to wade deeper as time allows....
