Is there a siding in the tunnel as well? Or where is the Schienenbus coming from in the video?

Sorry for being a bit late with my reply: Yes, there is also a siding in the tunnel, as can be seen in the second photo below. The layout is fully analogue, but the power routing function of the Rokuhan turnouts makes it easy to have two or three (short) trains on the track, have one running at a given time and one or two others parked on the sidings.

Below a sequence of largely self-explaining photos from the build. The baseboard is made from 3mm double corrugated cardboard and 5mm foamboard for the horizontal base. All very easy and fast to work with and sturdy enough for such a small layout (perhaps unless one is planning to take it to exhibitions). There will be a more detailed building report in the December issue of Trainini magazine (with the English edition out sometime early January).

I have had visions of something similar but have never executed it yet.  (there's little chance it would be that well done but the general idea anyway.)
