Team Track Question

If a freight car is spotted at a team track, how long will the customer be given for it to be unloaded?

Depends on different things. Is it a pay car? Are more cars expected for placing?  Is there another customer needing a car spotted? I'd guess two business days is a fair approximation.

Thanks for the feedback! I like the two days for unloading because I decided to look at different railroads charges for unloading, and many will offer two days of unloading free of charge (or credit days) before they start to charge a daily rate for the car.  I'm sure there are many variables for unloading or loading a freight car on a team track, and I'm curious to see how you can model that on our layouts.

2 days are usually provided free of demurrage.

Thanks for the info on demurrage.  I was trying to read several documents that different railroads have issued on demurrage, and it made my head spin!
