Great photos. That certainly has a "lacy" look to it;nice model.

It appears to have only 2 driven axles, so I wonder how good a "puller" is it?

The tender is mostly diecast metal (heavy), and all driven wheels have traction tires (the power pickup is through the other tender wheels and all drivers).  I have not fully tested its pullling ability. Keep in mind that European trains weren't nearly as long as what you usually see in USA. 

The lacy look (daylight showing between frame and boiler) is possible due to the fact that the loco is a dummy.  But that is also what makes these Fleischmann models look so realistic when viewed from the side.  With N scale steam models we often forget how the real steam locos look. We are so used to not seeing any open space in that area on our models.

Thanks for the photos Pete! Man the mikado drivers would be close if they fit at all! I might just have to order one and install the 2mm association scale 63" in one of these since the mikado drivers are just a hair too big.

I think DM-Toys has a blowout sale on these as I don't remember ever seeing any new Fleischmann steam loco cost that little.
