Fascia-Mounted Jacks for DCC Controllers?

I have an MRC Prodigy system where the DCC controller is currently connected directly to the power pack mounted beneath the layout. So, the cord is running under the fascia, which looks kind of crappy and shortens the length of the cord considerably. I would like to have it connect to a single, fascia-mounted jack instead but I recall there isn't or wasn't much readily available when I was looking before, but it seems like this would be a standard thing. All I need is the jack and a short cord that runs from the power pack to the back of the jack. Ideas? Thanks!

it looks to me (from graphics on the MRC site) that it is either
an ethernet cable or a regular phone like cable
each of those using a standard jack

if there is a radio shack still open in your area
just need to get a female/female connector
mounting plate
and your are set

take your hand control with you to know which jack it is

sincerely

@wm3798 had that very system on his former WM layout. We had 6 wire phone jacks all over the thing to plug into, which were sourced from the local Habitat for Humanity Restore as well as Radio shack. Not terribly expensive to put together as I recall.

They were 8 pin ethernet jacks, guys!

Back when I had the ReStore, we had cases of surface mount ones that I tried to sell for pennies on the dollar with few takers.  I'm sure they dumped them when they moved the store after I left.

Don't buy 6 pins!
