Early GE Diesel Switchers

Anyone out there on the 'wire know where I can find information on early GE diesel switchers? In particular, the 50 - 65 ton off-center cab (OCC) models. I've looked everywhere I know and found very little info. Trying to design a loco shell off of a couple of photographs is tricky at best. Thanks!

I don't know of drawings.

This is a 60T:

The hood is 6" lower on a 60t model compared to the 45t. Plus end shutters are different. The 45t doesn't have a walkway across the nose.

Do you have Critter, Dinkys & Centercabs by Jay Reed?

That's a much more detailed shot than any of the few I have found. Mine has steps on a four corners. I'll try to post a link...

No, I don't have Jay Reed's book. Perhaps I should. I remember seeing this little loco in a book years ago but I can't remember where. I found a picture of one by accident a couple of weeks ago while looking for something entirely different.

I managed to find two more pictures of it on Northeast Railfan's website: www.northeast.railfan.net/industrial.html

You seem to know a lot about these, did you get the info from Jay Reed's book?

The google link asked me to join Google+  :RUEffinKiddingMe:

I send you an e-mail with the book scans.

The Bush Terminal in NYC used a bunch of these locos. I can send you more of the one I posted above, but that one is the best photo wise.

Sorry about the link, I have no idea what I'm doing with this linking stuff. I tried to place another image but it keeps telling me that the folder is full.

A bunch of photos here:

Scroll down to the diesels.

Edit: these look like different shorter locomotives  :?

Awesome collection. I might be tempted to make one of those eventually. They look like caricatures of road switchers.
