I'd like to know what kind of fish it attracts before trying it.  Some are attracted to anything stinky, and the more offensive to a human, the better.  I'm not sure about eating a fish attracted to petroleum byproducts...

It still doesn't taste good, at least to me, and I don't really want to eat anything that thinks it does.  I know that most fish today will have traces of petroleum products, along with just about everything else man-made, in them, but most edible fish don't seek them out!

Actually I was agreeing with you!  It probably wouldn't hurt anyone to eat a fish that had eaten WD40, but the idea of eating a fish that was ATTRACTED to it doesn't sound good.  It simply isn't something fish, or anyone else, should consider edible.
