CMR Products Decals...Setting Solution Recommendatios

Has anyone used CMR Decals with good success?  If so, what decal setting solution did you use?  I am trying to decal a couple Bessemer and Lake Erie 60’ single door boxcars (Atlas N scale ACF cars).  I cannot get the logos or the “Buy Savings Bonds” decals to settle down properly.  I am getting a ton of air bubbles that will not stick to the car even after picking with a pin or slicing the decal with a knife.  I have tried Microset, Microsol, Solvaset and even Champ Decal Set. The single color CMR decals are fine.  It is the multicolor ones that will not set properly.  Is there something else out there that helps decals snuggle down?  Alcohol?  Any suggestions are appreciated.  Thank you.

I didn't have a lot of luck with the Ohio flag for their set for W&LE 200 Ohio Bicentennial unit either due to the same situation. I didn't have a ton of air bubbles but I could not get the decal to lay flat over the hood door hinges that well. So I took the easy way out and stripped the shell and painted W&LE 110 instead. I spoke with them directly at a show for suggestions and they told me that they use Microscale's decal solutions and that they worked well for them. I've not tried the 2nd set I have yet. I did have better luck with their set for CR G52X coal gondola in gray 507537. I didn't really change anything between the 2 projects. I brush a little Microscale Liquid Decal Film over decals, apply using Microset then finish with several applications of Microsol. I have yet to use their sets for W&LE patched and heritage(P&WV and AC&Y) locos yet. So at the moment I'm batting .500 with their decals.

Your similar problem tells me I am not crazy.  I decalled BLE 82100 which does not have the Savings Bond logo on it.  I have two photos of it to prove it.  The Microscale Bessemer logo, if it settles down properly, will save that car.  BLE 82102 appears to be a lost cause.  BLE 82103 does not have the Savings Bond logo either, but the font of the DF is a little different.  Maybe I will do that car and live with it.  Amazing that a four car series is painted with three different lettering variations.  Thanks.
