I caught a Cedar Rapids & Iowa City, former P&LE, PS/USRE covered hopper this past weekend. Perhaps not hugely interesting, but certainly rare in the totality of the North American freight car fleet; only 12 were owned by the P&LE and seems they all made it to the Crandic:

This was taken out of the second floor window of my Anchorage, AK office last week, while visiting for a trade show. 
The office is located in the Alaska Railroad's depot.  The brick building across the track, above SD70MAC #4008 is the current Alaska Railroad office building.
