Program read back, no problem. Programmed road number, no problem. Operates in forward and reverse, with directional lighting. Spot on.
No noise.
This decoder comes with the capacitor and speaker pre-wired. According to the paperwork, it's supposed to start making steam sounds by default as soon as track power is applied, with or without the address called up.

Call up the address, push the dinger button (F1) and nuttin'. No huffing, no puffing, no blow your house down.
Tried the factory reset. No dice. Any thoughts?
