Train time at Rocky Mt., North Carolina. I actually caught two northbound Amtrak jobs and a southbound CSX in the space of about 30 minutes. The details are in my blog.

A GP40-2L leads containers through Bowmanville, Ontario. Don't often see these old geeps on the road, certainly not leading a priority train:

Bob,

SRS 149 was sitting in Newark, Delaware a few weeks ago.  Now, something somewhat similar looking that Amtrak owns called T-SAVe has been sitting there for several days.  If I recall correctly, T-SAVe stands for "Track Structure Assessment Vehicle."

That car was heading to Benning Yard in DC.  Unblieveable how old that car body is.  Believe built in the late 1920s according to what I have read.

Finally saw an NS Heritage Unit in NJ!  Not so hot location, weather or consist location though:

Two Saturdays ago I found the Interstate unit at Enola Yard, but it was pretty far from the road.

Last weekend my SO and I went to the Columbus N Scale Weekend, staying in Zanesville (to minimize the drive time Friday night and return trip Sunday).  Friday evening we were downtown at the park enjoying the river and monuments, and took pix of some engines laying over in the yard.

We were getting ready to leave when an Ohio Central train crossed the bridge eastbound into the yard.  Talk about timing!!

This closeup shows an interesting slogan under the reporting marks -- hadn't noticed it before.

Not too bad. Now If NS would send the CR unit down the Penns Grove branch after a hard rain and during high-tide, you'd have the makings of some excellent early 2000's stuff that I used to see as a kid. Funny thing was that most of the CR units that went down that way hadn't even had their numbers patched yet, and usually 2 out of 3 locos were usually CR. The best lashup I ever caught down my way was a CR leader, NS middle, and CSX trailing sometime in about 2003 or 2004.
