I used to get parts (such as extra sets of F-unit grills) from their Customer Service department...

You might want to contact Bryan at Eastern Seaboard Models.  He knows everything.

You can contact IM and ask for parts. They are good about serving your needs. I ordered, about 1 year ago, some tender trucks for an N scale AC-12. They didn't come in and I forgot that I had requested a set. Approx. one month ago they showed up in my mail. No charges whatsoever.

I have obtained parts directly from Intermountain, but patience is required as they don't have a lot of staff and it takes a while.

About a year ago I called IM and asked to get some F7 and F3 shells so I could build a phase IV F3. I was told IM does notdeal in parts. I would have to buy full models to build what I wanted.

When I asked them about getting shells several years ago, they couldn't understand what  I would need them for.  :D
