Con-Cor dual headlight Zephyr question

I've found a Con-Cor dual headlight Zephyr for well-below $300 and am considering pulling the trigger on that purchase. I would like to model the train late in life, when it had the skirting removed from all of its trucks, like on the Con-Cor model's box. Can anyone who has the model tell me, do the skirts on the trucks come off? Are there the original truck sideframes underneath?

The skirting is a separate part from the truck sideframe and looks like it should be easily removeable (sorry, having said that I'm not going to actually try). From what I can see, the sideframes under the skirting look to be fully detailed. However, the skirting has to mount to the sideframe somehow, so said mount points would presumably be visible with the skirting removed.

Cheers,

Well, alright, just this once... The price is sweet, and this guy has more than one. If you're still interested, I sent you the link via PM.
