85' Flat Car Article on Model:160 - Trainworx Prototype

For your researching pleasure, Model:160 is now featuring an article on 85' Intermodal flats, as manufactured by Trainworx.

http://www.model160.com/n-scale-news-blog/intermodal-flat-cars-the-85-pioneers/

Thanks to Skibbe's fine coding, the roster tables are expandable and searchable.

Finding in-service photos of these cars was challenging, so if you have any others or come across more, please let me know for inclusion into the roster photo links.

Also please let me know if you find any corrections or have any further information.

Thanks to our own Chris vanderHeide for hosting so many of Kinkaid's photos - made the process much easier.

There are a bunch of PS builder's photos of various railroad names here.  Sorry you have to weed through other cars, but this is the best I could whittle it down based on the site's search tools.

When clicking on the photos to enlarge, I get page not found errors.   :?

Fixed.  There was a gallery reference error that no one cares about.   :)

Well done James and Mike!  There was obviously a ton of effort put into that.

Are there any 85' flats in service today, in their second lives?

Thanks Paul - I had already weeded through Chris' site and the search function and the rosters already link to most of the applicable cars.

I say most, as it appears I did miss PSX 55 which looks to be a demonstrator / R&D car and there is a new SOO photo recently added.

Excellent article!  And thanks for those recent pole service photos....

Did any make it into MOW service for UP or others?  I seem to recall photos of cars used for carrying either MOW machines or wrecked cars that seemed similar.
