Hi Folks,

Brian have you made any undecorated models in the current run. I all honesty I would prefer undecs then I can paint and decorate the models just how I want from the plethora of photos out there. That in a way kills two birds with the one stone.

Al,

No undecs on either the G26 or XIH, and there will not be any undecs offered on the X58.  When we announced reservations for the G26 Series III, there were something akin to 10 reservations for undec cars.

How about the PRR MOW? With all the PRR MOW stuff just released, maybe there would be an interest. Thanks
Never argue with idiots; they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

OK, help me out here.
I obviously don't model the Pennsy, however modeling the Northern Pacific and loosely subscribing to the every train on rails had a percentage of Pennsylvania rolling stock, which of the BLMA Pennsylvania Gons is more likely to be around, painted in that scheme and commonly reaching the West Coast between 1966-1969?

This one...

or this one?

ok my turn to modify the question, I model NP from 1943-1957-ish, would either of these been around then? or better yet, did these even go back that far?

Perfect, so either-or would work then

For what it's worth, I watched about 6 hours of PC videos recently (gets boring here) - and I would say there were plenty of SK cars - including gons still around - but virtually no CK cars - and I was specifically looking for them.

The entire G26 series III run including the two PRR MoW cars was canceled due to lack of interest in all but the three N&W cars, and a run couldn't be produced for just three items.

I don't think Craig is having a stock-surplus issue with his gons.  There are a lot of popular schemes remaining to be released on that model (DL&W and EL come to mind)

Western Pacific, Sacramento Northern, D&H... just saying :P

True.  I picked up a couple of the WP ones and I wish I had gotten more, but it's too many gons this year and my wife keeps asking if I bought "that car" when they show up.

When folks talk about undecorated models, why can't the models be stripped?  You end up with an "undecorated" model.  Some models strip very well, such as MTL and Atlas.  I recently stripped three duplicate road number Penn Central BLMA gons that I repainted oxide red for Conrail (I have all six PC numbers too).  I used Cameleon with pretty good sucess.  The sides and ends stripped well, and the metal floor good.  There was some residual paint that stuck to the metal floor, but that will be on the bottom of the car and the floor of the gondola.  These areas are never perfect, so I did not care.  I am sure this would work with the ESM cars too.  You would get the undecorated model you want, and you would be purchasing Bryan's car to move his inventory.  Thanks.
