The Erie milk cars were built in the 1930s, and some were later sold to the B&M as milk traffic shifted to trucks in the 40s and 50s. B&M used them into the 60s, I don't know when Erie stopped using them. I've seen pictures of some in service on the Rutland as well.

Between Independence Day parties, cookouts, and the heat, I didnt get much done; I have ordered some parts to convert some GP-9s to WM "wide vision cab" locos (ie, chopnoses) as well as decals from Microscale, and did some trainwatching today, so I guess it wasnt a total loss.

Waiting for turnout package to arrive tomorrow, then I finally will have 100% of the main line completed. Just the staging yard will remain to finish the complete loop for roundy round trains.

Better late then never ... I managed not to fall off any boats, not to get oiled and not to see massive slicks. The weather is crappy. Managed to photo a Louisiana and Delta geep and pick up an IC Exact rail gon on an evEning trip to New Orleans.

1. Started on a caboose kitbash.
Prototype: http://www.hebners.net/Caboose/bn/bn11710.jpg
Starting point: http://www.athearn.com/ProdInfo/LargeImages/ATH74703.jpg and a coupla from one of Athearn's wide vision cabooses.

I started with the athearn model because it was painted and had the right number even. I realized afterwards that the Walther's bay window caboose with an Atlas WV caboose coupla would be more accurate. One has to start kitbashing somewhere. I just need to pick up some styrene to fill in a gap (razor saw is warpped)
2. Got the Atlas RS11 I got of epay in the mail.
3. Installed a decoder into by Bi-centennial SD40-2.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.
