Busted up H-4 on ebay

Just wanted to let people know, there is a new H-4 on ebay that the owner dropped on the floor, the front engine and pilot are pretty mangled, but would be good for parts/cab/tender etc.

Its listed as "Basket case 2-6-6-2" and was at 6.00 when I saw it.

Poor thing :-[

That is Mark's, (Spookshow). I haven't had the nerve to e-mail him and see what happened yet.

I was wondering if it belonged to someone here, and kind of hoped it didnt. I could use it, but my "toy account" is sort of empty just now=(

His eBay listing answers that question - 'dropped on a concrete floor'

Mark, if you're reading this, did you call Bachmann's repair department? I had a 4-8-4 that was way old and out of warrantee, and I dropped it on the floor, sent it to Bachmann with $15 (i believe it was at the time) and they sent me a new revised 4-8-4 back.

I suppose this policy has changed also, but seems like it would be worth a query.

Well I picked it up!  ;D I'll take a look at how bad it is when it gets here, take more pictures, and give bachmann a call too. to me it looks fixable if bachmann wants nothing to do with it, of course, I fix alot of crap others would just toss. I really don't have a plan for it, I was going to make a 2-6-6-2T with it, but the drivers are 56" and most of the 2-6-6-2T were 44" drivers, 12" is a little too much to foobie.

so on that note, does anyone know of a 2-6-6-2 with 44" drivers?
