Great tool for hand painting trucks

A great bolster holder for hand painting trucks . It is spring loaded closed , and called the Gripster by Micro-Mark , designed for holding and starting screws . I have had it for years , but until yesterday , never tried it to hand paint trucks . This works great .

They're called part pickers, and you can get them from a variety of sources. They also come in a wide range of sizes, from a few inches long to over a foot.

I happen to have one of them. I think they're more for picking parts out of hard-to-reach spaces, like a screw that was dropped into a crank case or whatever. But I don't see why you can't use it for spray painting, too.

There is also one that's about two feet long with a flexible shaft, like a choke cable. A buddy of mine uses one to retrieve cars out of tunnels where access is limited.
