How To ... Build A Woodchip Loader

Hey everyone,

I just started a new tutorial on my site on how to build my new Woodchip Loader kit. The kit and tutorial will build all of the components needed to complete the entire scene. Comments and suggestions are always welcomed from y'all.

While we're thinking about woodchips, what types of industries would woodchip hoppers cart the chips to? Are they used in paper mills? I've got a load of Espee woodchip hoppers that I'd like to have an industry on the future layout for. Thanks!

Paper mills would get the chips .. wood panel manufacturing ..

Power plants are now burning  wood chips  and there are wood pellet mills making pellets for pellet stoves and furnaces

What's a good way to model wood chips in HO/N?   Fine/sifted sawdust?

Hays Bros. Have wood chip loads so I guess they would be a reference to what wood chips would look like in N-scale. Traincat do you have a idea how much the kit will be ?Thanks wendell

The building of all the assemblies is complete as is Part 3 of the build. Here are two images of the components mocked-up ready for building the scenery.



To answer some of the posed questions; Everything that you have seen is included in the kit except for the track and Woodchip Car. The kit will begin shipping on 12/8/2008. The Estimated price is $79.95

It will always be in my catalog, but depending on orders but be limited. I already have 37 requests and I have not put the ability to order it yet.
