It took me quite a while to figure out when and why I took these photos. The CTA 2000-series cars, built by Pullman-Standard, were brand new in 1964, and these were obviously brand new. I went to Chicago once in 1964 on a PRR sales employee educational tour and next visited in 1979, so they were taken then. Brand new then, no longer in regular service...











Next week, trolleys of the Atlantic City Transit Co.

My intent was to post these last week (end of year and all) but Holiday events kind of overtook the moment.  Cabooses.  I still miss them.

A couple from the day after Christmas around Delaware County (just outside Philly).

This was at Meetinghouse Road on CSX's Philly Sub:


Here SC01 (a Conrail Shared Assets local out of Stoney Creek Yard in Chester PA) runs along the Chester Secondary in Essington PA after a lunch break at the Wawa (no joke).

After picking up a few cars in the yard, the local heads across the Darby Creek drawbridge. Of the twin spans here, only the rearward one is in service, the other one being locked in the up position.
