Nope, it's their standard gauged and neglected neighbor, the Huntington & Broad Top.

this is the reason i am looking into at the Consolidations.  after doing some research, i have no idea why this railroad is not a modelers dream prototype.  2-8-0's, coal, coal, and more coal.  switchbacks, steep grades, and interchanges with the PRR at both ends.  then there were the milk train passenger runs.  the line had several large bridges and the one at Cypher, PA still stands.

the Huntingdon & Broad Top Mountian was a very interesting line... much more interesting than the PRR's Snowshoe line.  hit up Penn Pilot and "fly" around southern Huntingdon county - you'll get some religion fast

Am I going to have to dig out the Chaffee Branch from the mothballs?  Same kind of deal, tight curves, switchbacks, and lots of coal hoppers.  It was also the stomping grounds of the last Shay locomotive built in the United States.

the H&BTM did it all with 2-8-0's - geared locos are for lumber railroads in WVa, not black diamond haulers in PA

I have a map I'm trying to get together, based on a reprinted book and many other sources.  I wanted to show similar information to the map shown.  Perhaps this should serve as some motivation.  If only I wasn't using a laptop for the next 2 months... This might be irritating.
