when you think about it .. there are only so many ways you can cram track on a sheet of ply .. I have pics some where of my Nscale 2x4 layout that looks a lot like that ..

Aye, aside from the fact that the terrain was flat, my 1st N scale layout (also 2'X4') circa 1969 had a not too dissimilar track plan.
