John, note that the carbodies have two doors on each side. They look like the "California cars" used on the Sacramento-San Jose trains. The nearest shops I know about capable of turning those bodies into finished cars are in Yonkers, NY, and Hormell, NY, but probably someone else has started up a shop closer to Baltimore, maybe even in Baltimore... No doubt imported thorugh the port.

But, who is buying them??  ???

I see California Cars every day and there is no way thats a Cali Car. It's missing 3-4 windows and is missing the fluting down the center. Looks like a Surfliner, at least the fluting matches, but the windows don't.
