I guess I'm about 1/2 way done, but I don't really know, since I'm not sure how much detail is the norm for an HO scale boxcar. :)

I would like your thoughts on this.

As usual, a very sharp looking model! Will you keep this or are you doing it for an HOer?

Thanks...I will probably put it on ebay to raise money for an n-scale special run that I have planned... ;D

Iain, this is an out-of-the-box Athearn model that I bought for $15...the couplers are semi-scale.  There are better deals to be had in HO, for sure.

I like some of the effects that were not possible (for me) with n scale, like the little rust gash ro the right of the the reporting mark.  The little subtle streak underneath it would have been overpowering on an nscale model...I may try some more of them.

Ok, stay cool and weather everything and don't worry about not having a layout... 8) 8)

Tom,
Nice looking car. I just did my first N gauge cars. Got a few for the Bedford show. The "Freight Train Graffiti" book is excellent. I ordered it from Amazon and before it got to me, my daughters in Seattle sent it to me for my birthday. Just sold my second copy last night. For those whose like graffiti, this an excellent book.
