New Book on Coal Cars

I just purchased Coal Cars: The First Three Hundred Years
by Martin Robert Karig III from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Coal-Cars-First-Three-Hundred/dp/1589661540/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1199521282&sr=8-1

Just had time to start to thumb through it. Its huge, easily as big as the PFE book I was asking about awhile ago. Think half a phone book with hard covers. Lots and lots of photos and drawings. The dust jacket claims over 600 photos.

Looks like there is plenty of info backed by research.

Ummm, what "Amazon link here so we can get a cut?"

In all seriousness, if there was a way to support this site via my Amazon purchased, I'd be happy to come here to click a link to shop at Amazon, especially considering I just spent over $200 to upgrade my MS Office software and didn't get you a cut :-X

The one at the top ... says Search Amazon ..

Again, not being a wise a$$ but "one at the top?"

I clicked the little triangle that says shrink or expand the header, didn't help. All I see right now on my screen is:

At the very top is a rectangular picture in the left corner, says "The Railwire" and then in littler letters "A forum for modelers." I think exactly what picture is there changes, but otherwise its always the same size. The top right of the page is just a blank header.

Next is a "Hello bsoplinger" on left and "January 05, 2008, 11:54:49 AM" on right.

Then tabs; Home, Help, Search, Profile, My Messages, Calendar, Members and Logout.

Then TheRailwire.net > General Discussion > N Scale > Post reply ( Re: New Book on Coal Cars )

Of course this changes depending on the topic I'm reading and usually I'm not posting a reply.

Then the topic with each posting in a boxie sorta thing.

The the bits at the bottom; Little boxes saying the web site conforms to some standard or uses something (they're little and grey and hard to read) and "Powered by SMF 1.1.4 | SMF © 2006-2007, Simple Machines LLC"

Honest, no "Search Amazon" anywhere.

I started a thread in the Crew Lounge on the "where is the Amazon link" topic.

Hopefully this thread will go back to being about the book ;)

I found the amazon link....

But unfortunately it only shows when you are not signed in.....

It is located to the far right of the box you use to log in to Railwire.

Works too... Looks like a great reference book.

Yup....found it. Just like Bill said, you have to log out to
see it. Logged in, it doesn't show. Strange?  ???

Glad to see I'm not the only one, I'm not going crazy! ;)

Just checked myself, if I log out, I see the Amazon search, just like the picture. If I log back in, regardless of whether I have the little triangle up or down there's nothing.
