WOW!  :) :o :)   Who makes those centerbeams?  Are they photo-etched kits?

Is that Code 40 rail?   To me it looks oversized, would you have any links to Z-scale track made using the 0.030" strip metal for rails?

BTW & FWIW, I think Fast Tracks is going to be releasing their laser-cut Twist Ties in Z scale too (timeframe unclear, maybe this Fall?).   Should be real interesting...

Robert made those center beams with a laser.

I don't know what rail he used, but he did come up with a way to hand lay Z track:
http://raybob.boche.net/projects/page921.htm

I used the same method to lay code 40, here is some:

When it is painted and ballasted it looks like this:

Turnouts were made with a Fast Track jig.

Check out David's track work:

John,
Yeah they are Fast Tracks C40 #6. I added a few extra ties when I was done to add strength.

The other "flex" track is make with a laser cut jig Robert made. You line it up with PC ties (every inch) solder on one rail and glue it down. Now add the second rail with a MT gauge. To finish slide laser cut wood filler ties in-between the PC ties.

I used 3/64 x 1/32 strip wood for the turnout ties.

Hi Guys, the trees visible in this shot are the Architrees sold by Treedad  (Filomon) on ebay. The track is just handlaid code 60? (it's Peco Z Scale flextrack rails pulled from the plastic), and I had to hand lay it because of the trestle. I used the code 55/60 because it matched Marklin track that I have to use for Z-Bend Track modules, as this is a ZBT module.:

In this picture is a mix of the Architrees and Loren Snyder's handmade trees:

Robert,

Did you re-lay that track? I remember a spur track and now I just see an old roadbed there  ???

Yes, I relaid the track on this side of the module when I reworked the trestle. I also pulled up the siding, and made a logging road out of it. Going to build my Mack logging trucks and place a couple on that road, empties going up, and full loads coming down. ;D
