I agree that he shouldn't rush it & do a weathering job on the car that he's less than happy with, but Iain definitely should "bother" if it's important to him to participate

But you'll get the same feedback on this forum whether you're in the voting or whether you post the car a little late because you wanted to do your best on it, like I did with the December CNW car. Plus, rushing and not doing your best totally defeats the purpose of the challenge, and you usually don't learn as much when you put a time limit on yourself.
That's more constructive than you're post saying Iain "shouldn't bother"
- we want more people participating, whether entered on time & eligible to receive votes, or late & for feedback only, don't we ???My point was Iain just seemed keen to participate & that should be encouraged -
