Mitch (feeling extremely irked by the indifference with manufacturers)

...see, that's why I would like to know the next car a bit earlier, just 28 days is a littlebit a short time to get all the needed parts together, especially if you live abroad  ;)

ok Ed, what is the March challenge car then... ?

Only place I could find that I could find a set of the decals that Gonzo mentioned above were thru Walthers, & they are "backordered-in transit" (walthers-back ordered-my,what else is new? :( )
I did order a set in what now seems the off-chance I MIGHT get them in time! Sheez!

When you're messing around with Walthers, you're asking to get burned..

Anyway, where did you look? N Scale Supply claims to have them in their online decal catlog. And Kleins keeps almost the entire Microscale line in stock. I'll be looking for a set at the Timonium show this week. If I can find a set, I'm willing to split them with a fellow challenger, provided it has enough to do more than 2 cars...

Guys, PWRS lists the HO decals to be available. http://www.pacific-western-rail.com/view_product.php?ProductID=56929

I'll check on the N Scale decals.

Why the heck would you order from them for?

Gee, I dunno. Perhaps they were the only place I found them in stock.

Why do you ask?

Sean, I didn't know where you meant when you mentioned Klein's, so I did a google search, & I'm assuming you meant M.B. Klein's- http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/ They listed the correct decals, & I placed an order. Don't know yet if they're in stock, but keeping my fingers crossed!

Matt, thanks for the link, but like I said in my above post, I won't deal with companies that won't make or are not attempting to make their products available online to order.

If I can't get the decals in time, & win the car, I'll just re-sell it on Ebay.

Mitch, I'm heading down there tomorrow, I'll ask around to see if they have them in stock... the website doesn't have a "live" inventory, but I used to work there, so I may be able to advocate a little for you.

What's your last name, btw?

Probably because they're a questionable dealer, at best...  ;)

Hi Ed-it's "Mitch Reed" btw  :)

Like I said, I placed an order, but if you can use your "influence", it would be much appreciated, & I'll owe ya one!  ;) Oh BTW I do HO, like the Klukester!

Thanks!
Mitch

P.S. like I mentioned a few posts back,I have another Atlas "straight CR" Hopper already that I planned to do down the road-I was checking on decals for renumbering, & remembered I checked the Oddball Decals site-they seemed to have them, but now when you go to access his selection, it either won't load, or it comes up "not found"-wondering if he's having server trouble, or he's closed up shop?

Ed & all- a thousand apologies for my "ranting" in the earlier posts.

That's not like me-I guess my stress levels have been higher than normal with this stuff for some reason-I had a non modeling friend call me on that this evening, & she told me, "You're doing this because you ENJOY IT!" She's right. So I stepped back, took a deep breath, & figured, "If I get the car done for the challenge, that'd be great, but if I don't, & eventually get it done, I'll put it up on ebay & see what happens." (& post the results on here somewhere!) So I popped the top on a cold one, put on my new Lilly Bros. CD (hard traditional bluegrass) & "chilled."
Actually, been wanting  to do one of those "see-thru" jobs since I got back into this last fall lol!

Everyone, you're the best!  ;D

From another thread:
Actually, February will be a 2 Bay PS CR stencil over Penn Central stencil over Pennsy...  ;D

OK, call me blind, but I can't see a hint of PC anywhere on those photos, where is it?

Or is it in the placements of the paint-outs that completely hide any real PC bits but if one knew how PC marked you could tell?

Or did I miss the meeting and not get told the secret handshake again!?!?  ???

The Humpster is right. I did this real quick in PS for a better visual for ya. Forgive me, I don't have the PC font on my computer! ;D

P.S. - Just realized I missed the PC logo on the second panel in from the right as well!

I just got back from MBK, the HO guys were all swamped, so I didn't have a chance to talk to them about the order. Sorry.

I did check, it looks like a few of the cars will be on their way to Timonium this weekend, and they have ONE sheet of the N scale decals left. They had two before I got there... incidently, it looks like each sheet will do three individual cars if you use every decal.

Sean and I are splitting the one I have, but we have one set left if anyone wants it.

I'd like $1.50 for them if anyone is interested.
