Looks to me like

HYDROLIC UNDERFRAME
EVANS HYDRA-CUSHION
20 INCH TRAVEL
SPRG (?-?)(?-?)(?-?)(?-?)

That would be "HYDRAULIC" of course. And looks like "20 IN" rather than the full word "INCH"

Uh oh, I think I was tapped to sub in for Tom this month, so I get to pick.

You can start sending your bribes now.

Actually, I'm leaning toward the CNW tank car that was posted before.

Anyone interested, or have major objections?

Ed, since a CNW tank car would be strictly company service, and only 2.4 percent of the voters on The Railwire voted CNW as a favorite, I don't think all that many would be interested in modeling a CNW tank car, as it would never leave CNW rails.

You mean LV-CNJ per the aforementioned poll  ::)

Still don't know why they are combined when B&O/C&O/WM weren't among others, but then it wasn't my poll.  ;D

How about the challenge be a Union Pacific or one of its Fallen Flags cars that you weather and beat to hell and add lots of graffiti. We can then send pictures of all entries to Union Pacific's Board of Directors and lawyers.  :-*

Oh wait, never mind. They would probably then go ahead and raise the licensing fee even more.  ::)

I intended to combine LV-CNJ-L&NE-L&HR as they are all represented by the Anthracite Roads Historical Society and do not have individual HS's AFAIK. I originally combined C&O-B&O-WM and another moderator changed it... As I said, there were over 100 Class I's in 1949, I could not include them all. As it was, I gave folks a helluva lot more choices than most polls do! If you look at "other", quite a few roads outnumber the category, so I don't think I missed any real popular ones.  ;) :P
